The journey continues along the extraordinary Cyclops Riviera, inspired by the legend of Aci and Galatea.
We enter the world of mythology under the gaze of the chandelier—the eye of Polyphemus—whose shifting colors reflect the turmoil of his shifting moods, oscillating between his mad hatred for the shepherd Aci and his love for the nymph Galatea.
An imaginative construct where, amid ancient chains of support binding the lovers together, and among queen-size beds that both yearn for and curse their perpetual state of being separated yet united, one can almost hear—amid murmurs and sighs, through a brass earpiece and the nearby periscope—the hoarse voice of Polyphemus emerging from the marketplace below.
And it is a moment, an imaginative hiss of the boulder that crushes the young Aci and re-emerges transformed into a stream, a vision captured in the installation of mirrors embracing the metamorphosis of the nymph Galatea in an eternal representation of their remaining united.
We breathe in their union in the embrace of brass bagioux and the intertwining of their cables, observed by bedside tables with their bulbous glass eyes. The journey continues along the path of Aci, now transformed into the river, from which the towns along the coast take their names. It proceeds, amidst ceramics of swimmers, into the bathroom space amid waves of cement tiles, stem faucets, and striking shower columns, in the sunny white of the summer coast.
